The Austin Menagerie is a variety show in the truest sense: sword balancing, contortion on a folding chair, magic with live doves, a marionette with more attitude than most people, burlesque and comedy, all on one stage.

Dan and Fifi held it together as hosts, and every act got its own little world of light and color. My favorite kind of night, because no two frames look alike.

Thanks to the whole Menagerie family for having me in the front row.
